The Prison

7 Sep

Build me a prison

Give it four walls.

And empty and echoing concrete halls

Bar all the windows

Lock all the gates

Shut out the sunshine

Before it’s too late

Make there be wings

A B and C

And a place for the nonces and weirdos to scream

Build me a prison

Fill it with men

Make them where navy and grey and then

give them nothing to do

except fight and mope

then take away freedom

and take away hope.

Arrows

20 Aug

We don’t wear arrows!

We’re human beings. Human dones. Done wrong. Human doings. Human beens.

We don’t steal from our own. Just people like you.

We love our mums and we love our fags, we’re jailbirds, stir-crazy chickens, old lags.

We don’t throw baseballs to eternity like Steve McQueen  in that war movie.

We don’t hate society, well maybe a bit.

We don’t keep birds like Burt Lancaster.

We don’t swear without need, cut us and we bleed, we’re just like you, but we’re not very free.

And We don’t wear arrows!
